Etymology of Critical Thinking is the topic that has been discussed for this week.
Based on the Greek word kritikos which means critic. It is derives from “critic” and implies a “critique” has the meaning “of judging”, “of judgement”, “for judging” and of being “able to discern/differentiate”.
Critical Thinking describes the process we use to uncover the assumptions. It is the art of analyzing and evaluating thinking with a view to improve it. It is also a process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information gathered from or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication as a guide to belief and action.
